H1-2008 sales: up 15%

Noisy-le-Grand, 28 July 2008 – Staff&Line, a major European IT Management player, today published its H1-2008 sales.

Staff&Line reported sales of €5.8m in the first half of 2008, up 15% from H1-2007.
Business picked up significantly in the second quarter with 29% growth of consolidated sales despite the announced cutback in services.

Publishing Business: sharp growth of licence sales

Publishing sales were driven by licence sales, accounting for almost €2.6m in the first half, up 70% from the year before.
Maintenance and integration sales turned in 15% and 2%, growth, respectively.
In a difficult economic environment, Staff&Line reported a good performance with 32% growth of publishing sales, confirming the commercial success of the 2008 version of EasyVista. EasyVista is gradually becoming an essential tool in an environment where businesses focus on productivity and cost reduction.

New contracts

In France the group gained market share in H1. Sales leapt by 24%, mainly on the back of licence sales, which amounted to €1.7 m. Several contracts were signed with major groups, including companies such as Sage, Biomérieux, Aviva, Maaf, Pierre & Vacances, Orange-Sonatel, Foncia and Bergerat Monnoyeur.

International sales increased by 1.6%. The group continued to withdraw from its non-strategic inventory services business in Southern Europe. However, the impact of this adjustment on consolidated sales has become marginal. By contrast, Staff&Line’s optimisation efforts continued to produce results, with more than 70% growth of EasyVista 2008 sales in both Southern Europe and the United Kingdom. New clients included Thales on Spain, Haymarket Media Group in the UK and Sanitec Europe in Italy.

Outlook

Despite a foreseeable improvement, H1 results are likely to be affected by the traditionally negative seasonality of activity early in the year, whose impact on profitability will not become visible before the second half of 2008.
